The Village Christian Church Launches New Campus at Sheridan Correctional Facility

The Village Christian Church is excited to announce the official launch of its newest campus at the Sheridan Correctional Facility on Saturday, November 8. This marks a significant step forward in the church’s goal to reach people with the hope of Jesus—wherever they are.
Ten volunteers from The Village will serve inside the facility, ministering to men who are currently in custody. Through worship, teaching, and genuine connection, the goal is to create a space where lives can be transformed by God’s grace.
“We believe that no one is beyond the reach of God’s love,” said Nate Ferguson, Lead Pastor of The Village Christian Church. “By launching a campus inside Sheridan Correctional Facility, we’re living out our mission to reach people who are far from God and help them become devoted followers of Jesus.”
The new campus will offer weekly services, Bible studies, and discipleship opportunities designed to help those incarcerated grow in faith and find hope for the future.
The Village Christian Church currently has campuses in Minooka, Coal City, Shorewood, and Seneca, as well as an online campus that reaches people across the country. The addition of the Sheridan Correctional Facility Campus extends the church’s impact to an entirely new community, reinforcing its vision to make an eternal difference locally, regionally and globally.
