Celebrating 10 Years of Our Special Needs Community

The Village Christian Church is proud to celebrate the success of its 10th annual “Dance The Night Away” event, a special needs prom that continues to create unforgettable memories for guests and their families.
This milestone year brought together an incredible community of volunteers, families, and honored guests for a night centered on joy, dignity, and celebration. Attendees experienced a full prom-style evening complete with hair and makeup stations, shoe shining, a glamorous red carpet walk, and even limo rides, making each guest feel like a true VIP.
The evening was filled with energy and excitement as guests danced, sang along to their favorite songs, and enjoyed activities like karaoke and taking photos at the Photo Booth. The celebration also included pizza and time to connect with friends, both new and familiar.
For many families, the impact of the event goes far beyond one evening. One parent shared, “Our daughter had a great time! It’s such a fun & special night out for her.” Moments like these reflect the heart behind Dance The Night Away, to provide a space where every individual is seen, celebrated, and valued.
Over the past decade, this event has grown into a cherished tradition within the community, made possible by the dedication of countless volunteers and the ongoing support of The Village Christian Church.
As the church looks ahead, the goal remains the same: to continue creating meaningful experiences where everyone belongs and has the opportunity to shine.
