Backpack food program — Feeding Kids From Low-Income Families

Reclaimed helps provide snacks for the Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club Backpack program. The food is discreetly put into backpacks of kids from low-income families. Volunteers from The Village Christian ChurchChannahon-Minooka Rotary Club, and Channahon School District social workers work together on this service project. The team meets up and pack large amounts of macaroni and cheese, noodles, granola bars, fruit snacks, and juice boxes into grocery bags. School social workers then place these bags into the backpacks of the kids on Fridays throughout the year as they leave school. This is an ongoing program. Reclaimed has committed to helping every year.
