Sheridan Correctional Center in Sheridan Illinois is home to over 1,200 individuals in custody.
Reclaimed Charity, in partnership with The Village Christian Church and God Behind Bars is excited to announce the launch of a brand new church campus inside Sheridan!
Beginning November 8th, we will host a church service every Saturday inside the south gym ay Sheridan from 9:00am-11:00am
Here is how you can get involved:
1. Be praying for the individuals in custody and the staff att Sheridan Correctional Facility
2. All volunteers must have TB test results available that are less than one year old.
Will County residents can obtain a test for free at the Sunny Hill Tuberculosis Clinic (815) 740-4420 Call for an appointment in advance.
Grundy County residents can obtain a test for $15 at the Grundy County Health Department 815-941-3404
Tests are also available at some CVS locations
3. All volunteers must submit the following application with our ministry partner God Behind Bars

Fill out application and select The Village Church as your church or my church is not listed if we haven’t been added to the drop down menu yet
4. If you have any tattoos anywhere on your body we are required to submit a color photograph to screen for gang affiliation. Please email these to patrick@reclaimedcharity.org (preserving your modesty please =)
5. Fill out these 3 forms for the Department of Corrections and sign them in front of a witness
Print or scan or take good pictures of the completed forms and email them to patrick@reclaimedcharity.org or bring them to me at church. Background checks take 6-8 weeks to process.
