Night To Shine Celebrates People With Special Needs

Have you heard Mother Nature is sending us snow? A lot of snow according to predictions. It has been a difficult decision, but we are postponing Night To Shine. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the safety of our special guests and volunteers are our top priority. The event is rescheduled for February 23rd – same place (The Village Christian Church), same time (6-9 pm). All volunteers will be getting an email with further information.

We’re partnering with Crossroads Christian Church in Joliet and the Tim Tebow Foundation on an exciting project called Night To Shine on February 9, 2018, 6-9 pm.  February 23, 2018, 6-9 pm.

Night to Shine provides an unforgettable prom night experience. It’s centered on God’s love for people with special needs, ages 16 and older. This event is a worldwide movement changing Valentine’s Day weekend from simply a celebration of love, to a celebration of God’s love for people with special needs.

It’s so great to see all of these special people celebrating! They are able to have a fun night where all of the attention is on them.

Guests and volunteers need to be at least 16 years old. All volunteers will have to go through a background check. Volunteer and guest spots have been filled.

Training is mandatory by the Tim Tebow Foundation for ALL volunteers, no exceptions. If you are signed up as a volunteer and were not able to make the first two training sessions, contact Randi @ nichols_0813@aol.com today. The final training will be Saturday, February 3rd at 9 am. Note: This is a time change from the originally scheduled time.
